It’s a Wonderdal World!

We were washed with wonder and welcomed with dignity today at Wonderdal World. Jam and I had the “Edutainment Centre” to ourselves… well, us and an entire staff.

We’re in a parched and painful season right now with Benjamin’s nervous system disability. He’s at home with me full time, and his smiles are few and far between. The whole family is taking strain.

I’m learning to be creative in how to help him access the things he needs most but has such a hard time reaching for - joy, movement, connection, and wonder. I’ve learned along to the way to call ahead and check for potential disasters. Wonderdal was happy to accommodate, told us exactly what time to come to avoid crowds, and welcomed us by name. Some people never know how far it goes to welcome someone by name or let a few social abnormalities go unnoticed. I wish I could sit down with every person who’s been an angel in our path thus far and tell them exactly how impactful they’ve been.
