Why I Let Them Act That Way in Public

Did I sit quietly in a corner while my children tackled each other in the aquarium this evening?
Yes. Absolutely. It’s Jam’s necessary heavy pressure work.

Did I advocate for my kids to have their own space and NOT make friends with some sweet kids who desperately wanted to join in the fun? Did I speak to the children and the nanny on my kids’ behalf?
Yes. Without hesitation. They are learning it’s ok for people to have different needs as long as we’re kind to everyone. Some people like to make new friends, some like to play with the friends they came with, and some like to be by themselves. We’re all always learning how to navigate people.
